Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Ok, apart from the journal-like paper.
The book is ok and is what I was looking for.
The only thing that caught my attention was the journal-like paper. I wasn't expecting it.

It's filled up with drills/exercises and I really believe it will help me to achieve a better Toefl score. Since my mother tonge is Brazilian Portuguese, I had to buy a book in order to enhance my skills. I believe this book is right for me.

A very good book for TOEFL preparation. Given excellent directions how to pass the exam and precise tips. Only 1 minus - it IS iBT, you must be sure what kind of test you're going to take.

The book was awesome, it helped in everyway. It shows exactly how to answer the actual ibt internet based test. It was sent in great condition and the price was ok.

Despite all positive reviews I found this book not very helpful. I made through 1/3 of it before giving up and switching to another book. The main reason for this - I didn't feel any kind of progress. The explanations didn't really help me to understand how close was or wasn't I to the correct answer. It was very frustrating experience.

Actually, I bought the book because of its highest rating at Amazon. It seems that there is no good book on TOEFL strategy at all. This one mostly describes the test, it gives some hints, but the proposed strategy doesn't appeal to me. Even having learned it, you still have to guess answers if you do not know a correct one. What they call a strategy can not be compared on real strategy proposed in textbooks for the IELTS. In "Cracking" they have exercises, what is good, but for speaking they propose ... Read More
